Questions
Yes. It is identical to the Barrier Repair Cream in the jar, not a reformulation. Same lipids, same 3:1:1 ratio, same percentages.
The pouch is $36 for 50 ml against $48 for the jar, which is 25% less per ml. The pouch is also 82% less packaging by weight.
One pouch fills one 50 ml jar. Decant it fully in one go rather than keeping a half-used pouch.
A refill pouch goes only into its matching Seravane jar. The pouch is not made to be resealed, and another container may not close as tightly.
It is a mono-material pouch, which is what makes it recyclable in curbside programs that accept plastic film. Local rules vary, so check yours.
Yes. The refill is one of the four products available on subscription, at 10% off each delivery, every 4, 6, 8 or 12 weeks. Most people who use the cream twice a day choose 8 weeks.
The jar, lid and seal are covered by our 2-year packaging warranty under normal use, refilling included. Claims start on the warranty claims page.

Dry
The pouch is a little fiddly the first time, I will be honest. But it is the same cream for twelve dollars less and one jar has now lasted me a year and a half.

Every eight weeks a flat envelope shows up in my mailbox. I rinse the jar, squeeze the pouch in, done. This is how refills should work.

I live in an apartment where boxes go missing. This arrives in the letterbox, which honestly is half the reason I buy it.

My own fault: I refilled into a jar that was still damp and the cream looked odd after a few weeks. Second time I let it dry overnight and it was perfect. The instructions do say this, I just rushed.

I compared the last of my jar with the pouch side by side. Same texture, same lack of smell, same result. Not a watered-down refill.

The cream is great and the saving is real. But getting the last bit out of the pouch takes some patience, and a small spout would help. I get there with a clean spoon handle.

Very dry
I have refilled the same jar five times now. The lid still closes tight. Less to throw away, and less to pay.

I buy the two-pack and it covers me for about four months. Cheaper again per pouch.

I like not adding another glass jar to the recycling every two months. The cream is the cream, which is the point.

Normal to dry
A bit got on the rim the first time. Wiped it off and it was fine. Would still pick this over a new jar every time.
