Questions
It is the ratio of ceramides to cholesterol to free fatty acids in the lipid blend. The outer layer of skin is built from those three lipids, and a blend that supplies all three in that proportion sits closer to what skin makes for itself than a cream with ceramides alone. The ratio is printed on the carton.
Yes. There is no added fragrance and no essential oils. The cream has the faint, neutral smell of its own ingredients and nothing else.
It is formulated to be non-comedogenic. It is a rich cream, though, so if your skin is oily, use a thin layer at night and only where you are dry, or look at the Ceramide Serum, which carries the same lipid family in a fluid.
Yes. It works over any active and goes on as the last step. Post-retinoid recovery is one of the things it is made for. If your retinoid is a prescription, how the two fit together is a question for whoever prescribed it.
The 15 ml is the size for finding out whether your skin takes to it. Used twice a day, the 50 ml jar lasts about ten weeks. The 50 ml refill pouch only makes sense once you own the jar, because you decant it into the jar you already have.
It contains shea butter, which comes from the nut of the shea tree. We cannot tell you whether that matters for your allergy. Your allergist and the printed label on your own jar are the sources to go by.
Neither is a claim we publish for this cream, so we will not confirm either one. The full ingredient list is on this page and on the carton.

Dry, sensitized
I had stripped my face with a foaming cleanser and three different acids. Two weeks of only the cleanser and this cream and my cheeks stopped stinging when I washed them. I am on my fourth refill.

Sensitive, fragrance-reactive
Every 'unscented' moisturizer I have tried still smells like something. This one really does not. Thick but not greasy, gone in a couple of minutes.

Combination
At night this is perfect. In the morning it is a bit heavy for me under sunscreen in a Houston summer, so I switched to the serum for daytime and kept this for bed. Four stars only because I needed two products to cover the whole day.

Dry, uses retinol
I put it on as the last step after my retinol and the flaking around my nose is gone. I appreciate that the carton says exactly what is in it and how much.

Very dry
Minneapolis in January usually cracks the skin on my cheeks. This is the first winter that did not happen. One pea-sized amount really is enough.

Normal to dry
The cream itself is excellent. I just do not love dipping my fingers into a jar, and I wish there were a pump version. I use a small spatula now, which works, but it is an extra step.

Reactive
Started with the small one because I react to nearly everything. No reaction, no tightness, and my skin looks calmer in the morning. Ordered the 50 ml the day the small one ran out.

Dry
It is not exciting, and that is the point. My skin just feels comfortable all day now. I have stopped buying other moisturizers to compare.

Combination, oily T-zone
I used too much the first week and it sat on my skin. Half the amount fixed it. Would have been five stars if the lid had a clearer guide to how little you need.

Dry, sensitized
I had tried two other ceramide creams and neither did much. Whatever the difference is here, my skin holds onto moisture through a full workday for the first time in years.

Oily, acne-prone
I can tell it is a well-made cream, but on my oily skin it felt like too much even at night, and I got a few bumps along my jaw. Customer care pointed me to the Ceramide Serum instead and the exchange was easy.
