Questions

Asked about Micellar Prep Water

Do I need to rinse it off?

Yes, by following it with a rinse-off cleanser. Micellar water lifts makeup, but the surfactant should not stay on the skin overnight. It is a first cleanse, meant to be followed by the Gel-to-Milk.

Does it remove waterproof mascara?

It is made to work on waterproof mascara. Hold the pad over the closed eye for a few seconds first so you do not need to rub.

Is it safe around the eyes and with contact lenses?

The product lists the eye area as safe, including for contact lens wearers. It contains no alcohol and no fragrance, the two things that usually sting. We cannot promise how your eyes will react, so if it stings, rinse with water and stop.

Does it contain alcohol?

No. It is alcohol-free and fragrance-free, at pH 5.5.

Can I use it as my only cleanser when traveling?

For a night or two, with a water rinse afterward, it will do. As a habit, pair it with a rinse-off cleanser.

    Sensitive, contact lens wearer

    Mascara off without the sting

I wear contacts and waterproof mascara. This is the first micellar water that does not make my eyes water.

  2. Holly R.

    Verified buyer

    Combination

    Good first step

I use it before the gel cleanser on makeup days. Pad comes away dirty, face does not feel stripped.

  3. Sanjay P.

    Verified buyer

    Oily

Does the job, bottle cap leaks in a bag

Works well. The cap on the 200 ml loosened in my gym bag once, so I keep it upright now.

  4. Maribel C.

    Verified buyer

    Dry

    No smell, no residue

A lot of micellar waters leave a film. This one does not, and it has no scent at all.

  5. Katie O.

    Verified buyer

    Normal, wears heavy makeup

Needs a few pads for heavy makeup

It takes three pads to get stage makeup off, where an oil cleanser would take one pass. For everyday makeup it is fine.

  6. Lena S.

    Verified buyer

    Normal

    The 400 ml lasts forever

Half a year and still going. Very good value.

  7. Deshawn M.

    Verified buyer

    Sensitive

    Simple

Not exciting, just works and does not irritate. I only wish it came with a pump top.

  8. Amelia F.

    Verified buyer

    Dry, sensitive eyelids

    Gentle on my eyelids

My eyelids get dry and flaky with most removers. No problem with this one.
