Questions

Asked about Squalane Oil

Where does the squalane come from?

From fermented sugarcane. It is not olive-derived and not shark-derived.

Will it clog pores?

Squalane is non-comedogenic. It is a light, dry-feeling oil, and two to three drops are enough for the face.

Is there really nothing else in the bottle?

One ingredient: squalane, 100%. Nothing added, nothing perfumed.

Which size should I choose?

Once opened it is meant to be used within 6 months. For face-only or occasional use, the 30 ml fits that comfortably. If you use it every night or on the body as well, the 100 ml is the better buy.

Where does it go in my routine?

Last, after moisturizer, or a couple of drops mixed into the cream. In the morning, apply sunscreen after it has settled.

Is it vegan or certified cruelty-free?

The squalane is plant-derived, from sugarcane. We do not hold a vegan or cruelty-free certification, so we do not claim one.

    Very sensitive

    Nothing to react to

I am allergic to a long list of things. One ingredient means I can actually use it.

  2. Maurice J.

    Verified buyer

    Very dry

    Two drops over the cream

At night I press two drops over the barrier cream. I wake up with skin that still feels moisturized.

    The 30 ml sells out

The oil is lovely. The small size has been out of stock twice when I wanted it, so I ended up with the 100 ml, which is a lot for face only.

  4. Chris Y.

    Hair ends and cuticles too

I bought it for my face and now it is on my desk for my hands.

  5. Dalia R.

    Verified buyer

    Combination

    Not greasy

I was nervous about oil on combination skin. It sinks in and leaves a soft finish, not a shine.

  6. Hank W.

    Verified buyer

    Normal

    It is just squalane

It is exactly what it says, which is fine, but squalane is squalane. You are paying for the sourcing and the bottle. No complaints about quality.

  7. Rina K.

    Verified buyer

    Sensitive

    Olive-free matters to me

I react to olive-derived squalane. This one I can use.

  8. Josie B.

    Verified buyer

    Dry

Body size is great in winter

The 100 ml on damp skin after a shower. Shins have never looked better.

  9. Theo L.

    Verified buyer

    Normal to dry

    Dropper is a bit slow

Takes a few squeezes to get the drops out. Product itself is perfect.
